Happy New Year

With New Year Eve celebrations in the offing - gatherings and festivities are about to begin. The whole world welcomes the New Year with immense pomp, zest and fervor. As always, it’s a great time for us to leave behind what’s saddening, cherish all the fond memories and wait in the wings for what’s yet to come.

This time, it’s not just the end of a year but in fact the end of a decade. When I look back in retrospect, I picture ‘14 year old me’ playing cricket on the terrace of our apartment, waiting for my chance to bat so that I could play the shots I had practiced the day before. Certainly, a lot has changed since then.

I have been quite inactive on my blog this year. Merely two posts this year don’t justify my exploits, bummers or disappointments. I wish I had written more. Today I read a blog post I wrote on December 28 last year. It made me realize that it doesn’t take a decade to turn our lives upside down. A year is enough to turn it into haywire. Although this year is among the difficult ones I’ve gone through, things seem to have improved now. Hopefully, this positive trend would continue and the forthcoming year would be among the better parts of my life.

Last year in my post, I wrote – “With a few pages left in the book of 2018, I urge you to unclog what’s stuck and bothering. Just leave it behind for good and start with a clean slate. You will find positive energy blossoming around you.”

I don’t see anything wrong in doing the same this time

To all reading this, I hope you are all set to welcome 2020 in high spirits and this New year brings great joy and happiness to your lives.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
